This is Lint

It’s a reminder of posture.

A place to practice looking steadily at existence without flinching.

I will not adopt a worldview simply because it is available, efficient, or comforting. I will not reject new ideas simply because they are destabilizing. I am allowed to remain undecided longer than is convenient.

I believe thought should have strength and mobility, like a well-trained body: capable of holding tension, yielding when necessary, adapting under load, and recovering without becoming brittle.

I am writing to notice what it feels like to be a person thinking, learning, teaching, and loving at a moment when thinking itself feels newly crowded. I am living alongside systems that don’t get tired, confused, or embodied. They do not hesitate or need recovery. They move with less friction, while my own thinking still depends on sleep and cycles of repetition and failure that take time.

I will metabolize what I encounter—ideas, technologies, griefs, joys, contradictions—rather than stockpile or discard them. What emerges will be shaped by my limits, my history, my attention.

If this work is useful only to me, it is still necessary. If it becomes useful to others, it will be because it was honest first.
